Chicken Soup for My Soul
Well that’s music to me…
It’s never too late to learn something. You can do anything you set your mind to! It’s true! Trev and I are proof of that!
“Be the change you wish to see in the world” by Gandhi
I had a dialogue with a friend over a lyric I wrote:
“I see not point to argue
With far too much at stake.
Instead I’ll keep my focus on
The things that make us great.”
He thought that was incorrect. But to me, it’s not.
An argument is essentially a fight with words, where people close their minds and just state their opinion over and over again not listening to the other person, not trying to understand someone else’s perspective, but instead they try to force their opinion on another. So no, I don’t see the point to argue. Disagree? Yes. Debate? Yes. Dialogue? Absolutely. Keep the focus on the positive and make greater efforts to understand each other. I think we have more things in common than not.
Anyway, I thought I’d share all lyrics with you for our song, “What Can You Do”.
Trev and I would like to invite you on a little musical adventure. We only met a few years ago and have been writing songs together since about the fall 2016. He loves my voice and lyrics. I love his chords and the notes he writes for me to play on the cello. We are a bit old fashioned as we like pretty melodies and vocals, so we make a good team. Anyway, come join us and see what you think of our songs.
